Meet Cryspian (Crys) and Amanda Hopper, Owners of Hop Building Company, Inc.
Hop Building Company, Inc. is a fast growing custom home builder and contractor on the Emerald Coast and is lead by Cryspian (Crys) Hopper. Hop Building Company is quickly becoming one of the premiere custom home builders in Destin and the surrounding areas. Hop Building Company offers a full turn key program for all home building including pre-construction and design, budget development and value engineering, permitting, construction management, and project close out and turnover. Crys oversees all operations of Hop Building and is intimately involved with all processes from start to finish to ensure each project meets and exceeds every Owner’s expectations for both the process and ultimately the final product.
Crys has been involved in the construction industry for over 45 years with an extensive background in pre-construction and construction management. Crys has been involved with all types of projects including multi family, high rise, commercial, residential, government, civil, medical, religious and sports facilities. Crys has provided services for a wide variety of projects ranging from $10,000 up to $180,000,000. Crys opened his first business as an estimator and construction manager in 1999. From 2003 through 2008, Crys managed the development and construction of multiple condominium, apartment, subdivision and residential projects valued with a total cost in excess of $900,000,000. Crys has also served as an expert witness in cost estimation and construction management for both construction and insurance claims. He has been successfully involved with claims in excess of $42,000,000.
Crys is a licensed contractor and is registered with the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Crys attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Building Science. Crys has also achieved the designation as an accredited claims adjuster and has multiple other certifications in estimation, scheduling and construction management.
Crys is also surrounded by an extremely talented support group. Amanda Hopper, the office administrator, takes care of all business related matters, as well as works with each homeowner in determining selections for their project. Amanda has been involved with Crys designing and managing projects for more than twenty years and is very adept at helping owners find selections of their choosing while helping to maintain their budget and allowances. Crys also has the support of an in house realtor that provides lot selection and home sales as needed.
